Nikki Dehnashi

Nikki Dehnashi is an accomplished lawyer at Evangelista, Barristers & Solicitors, joining the firm in July 2019. In 2015, she graduated from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Nikki then went on to obtain her JD from Windsor Law School and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2019. She began her legal career articling at a prominent boutique insurance defence firm in Hamilton before joining Evangelista, Barristers & Solicitors.

During her time in law school, Nikki discovered her passion for litigation while working as a Student Caseworker and Litigator at Community Legal Aid. Her active involvement in mooting led her to place second in the Walsh Family Law Moot, showcasing her advocacy skills early on.

Nikki has garnered extensive experience in various areas of insurance litigation, including personal injury, accident benefits, property damage, subrogation, commercial general liability, occupiers’ liability, and coverage disputes. Since graduating from law school, she has exclusively practiced insurance defence litigation, representing a diverse range of insured, self-insured, and insurer clients. Nikki has successfully appeared before the Small Claims Court, Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Ontario Court of Justice, and the Licence Appeal Tribunal.
