David Powrie

David Powrie joined Evangelista, Barristers & Solicitors in 2006. He received his JD from the University of Windsor and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2004. Over the years, he has established himself as a thorough and articulate advocate for his clients, known for his meticulous approach and strong advocacy skills.

Practicing exclusively as a litigator, David’s focus includes insurance and commercial litigation. His extensive experience spans various areas, including environmental law, municipal claims, product liability, general liability, coverage disputes, debtor-creditor issues, leasing and finance, guarantees, contract law, real estate, and fraud. This broad expertise allows David to navigate complex legal issues and provide comprehensive solutions for his clients.

Additionally, David has represented his clients’ interests before various administrative bodies, such as the Rental Housing Tribunal and the Financial Services Commission of Ontario.

David is an active member of The Advocates’ Society and the Ontario Bar Association.
