Andrew Evangelista

Andrew Evangelista is the founder of Evangelista, Barristers & Solicitors. Highly regarded for his  comprehensive expertise, Andrew is a preferred counsel for complex negotiations, arbitrations, trials, appeals, and insurance coverage matters. He is known for  handling advanced  global, and emerging exposures. His  extensive experience in trial and appellate courts has established him as a prominent figure in the legal community.

Andrew’s education includes studies at The Royal Military College of Canada, Carleton University, and Osgoode Hall Law School graduating in 1992 as President of Student Government. He then served over 15 years on the Board of the Osgoode Hall Law School Alumni Association, holding significant positions such as Mentor Program Chair, Vice President and President. Andrew has received various awards recognizing his significant contributions to the legal community and his commitment to public service. 

Andrew has acted in various advisory capacities, including counselling the Attorney General on legislative reform and the civil justice system. 

In his practice, Andrew regularly appears before the Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal for Ontario. Over the span of three decades, he has represented parties and insurers in intricate litigation, coverage disputes, and excess insurance exposures. His areas of counsel include institutional abuse, class actions, environmental torts, big tobacco, opioids, government liability, and emerging global risks such as pandemics, terrorism and cyber threats.
