Taraneh Etemadi

Taraneh graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Psychology in 2014. She then obtained a Master of Arts from Ryerson University in Immigration and Settlement Studies in 2015.

Taraneh graduated from the University of Windsor with a Juris Doctor in 2018. While at the University of Windsor, she was an Associate Editor and an Executive Member of the Windsor Review of Legal Social Issues, she participated in the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association Moot in 2017 and 2018 (winning the OTLA cup in 2017), volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, and Windsor Law High School Outreach.

Taraneh articled and practiced at a boutique Plaintiff litigation law firm in downtown Toronto and remained there as an Associate Lawyer. She then transitioned to a boutique Defence litigation law firm where she learned the intricacies of defence litigation prior to joining Evangelista, Barristers & Solicitors in November 2021.

Taraneh’s diverse interests and background in practicing both plaintiff and defence litigation have prepared her to view each file in a unique manner. She is results-driven and passionate about the law.

Taraneh has appeared before the Small Claims Court, Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice, and Licence Appeal Tribunal. She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario.
