Karyn Shapira

Karyn Shapira

Karyn graduated from the University of Victoria Law School in 2001 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2002. She began her legal career in the litigation department of a large Toronto-based law firm, joining Evangelista, Barristers & Solicitors as an Associate in May, 2006.

Karyn's exceptional academic career has laid the foundation for her outstanding legal career. Her excellent oral and written advocacy skills have made her instrumental in complex litigation files and cemented her reputation as a formidable opponent. She has appeared before all levels of the Ontario Court and various Tribunals. She has co-authored five publications and acted as Assistant Teacher in the Civil Procedure Course at Osgoode Hall Law School.

Despite her commitment to law, Karyn has always made time for volunteer work as Chair of the United Way Leadership Program and as a member of the Canadian Paraplegic Association Organizing Committee for the Annual Wheelchair Relay.

Karyn is a member of The Advocates' Society, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Canadian Bar Association and the Ontario Bar Association.
